Oct 14,2007 New Master of Education - Intervention Specialist Program at MVNU Tami Bunnell, Assistant Director of Marketing for AGS
MVNU is pleased to announce its new Master’s degree program leading to Ohio licensure as an Intervention Specialist for Mild/Moderate Disabilities. The first programs will begin at the Columbus-Polaris campus on February 13 and at the Mount Vernon campus on February 14, 2008.
The program is specifically designed to meet the needs of:
- Teachers with an interest in and commitment to serving pupils with disabilities
- Licensed ECE, MCE, or AYA teachers who wish to enhance their credentials to include Intervention Specialist licensure and a Master’s degree
- Educators serving pupils with disabilities on a temporary or alternative licensure who wish to gain credentials to needed maintain their employment
The ISP program meets the needs of adult learners in practical ways, including:
- A 21-month program for licensed educators
- Classroom instruction includes 25 credit hours offered one night a week for four hours.
- Eleven credit hours of field and clinical experience providing students with confidence to serve this special population of students.
- Single registration and upfront “pricing” for the entire program
- Course guides and textbooks included in program fees and delivered to the branch campus where you study
- Qualified faculty with a depth of experience in serving students with disabilities.
- Being part of a cohort that supports and maximizes learning
- Financial aid and payment plans to make your degree affordable for you
